A few nights ago we hosted dinner in our house for Chris’ family and after dinner we were about to play a game of UNO when I noticed that Chris’ 10 Year old niece was more interested in watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua, so I asked… “are you gonna play UNO or watch the movie” Emma retorted.. “haven’t you heard of Multitasking?” I shut up and dealt the cards! I wonder what they teach 10 year olds in school nowadays??

Over the last 2 months, I’ve been Working hard to relaunch one of my subscription websites so finally last month I sent out an email promotion about the new launch and had a 5.25% conversion rate. I was very pleased as it is above the market average of 2-3%.  Together with my graphics designer we have improved the look of the website, so it now looks a little more professional, or at least we think it does! lol…

I was approached by someone to do a JV to launch another subscription website targeting UK users late last year, so this partnership finally materialised this year so I now run a another member’s only website with approximately 500+ subscribers. It remains to  be seen how well this website will work out in the future as subscribers only stay on and become full paying members if they are happy with the services provided. So we may end up with only 300-400 paying subscribers….I am happy even if it is only 100!

At the start of this year I had decided that I was not going to sit on my butt and wait for things to happen, so I sought out a JV with another guy who owns this massive mailing list and created yet another membership site to market to this huge list. His list is so huge, you won’t believe me if I said it… 165,000 people subscribed to it!! So I’ve been keeping myself very busy working on this. Our initial marketing plan did not work well, so I had to go back to the drawing board and take the website to a whole new direction.

I am sitting here… doing quite a few things right now…

- I am deleting 1000 spam comments from one of my blogs..

- am chatting with my friend about our kids

- am helping Ethan with his homework

- am listening to Anoop…

- am selecting a blog theme for my new JV

with 100 thoughts running though my mind as I am writing this!

I’ve been using this method of getting targeted traffic from You Tube very effectively for the last whole year. Infact you can say that part of my online success it due to the traffic that I got from YouTube in the early days. Had it not been for the free traffic flow, my first website would have been a complete flop as it did not have any other source of traffic except YouTube. I have sold over 200 copies of my first digital product as a direct result of the traffic from YouTube.

All you need to do is shoot a video in your relevant topic, edit it using Microsoft Movie Maker (this is provided free with your Microsoft Package when you purchased the computer) and then upload it to YouTube. Even a simple video like my son’s sports day can drive some traffic to this blog. Here is his 2nd Sports Day video taken in April 2008.

You’ll notice that I have added my website URL to the entire video so many people who are curious will likely click through to view my website. My website address is also posted as the first line in the video description that I posted in YouTube so that people can easily click on the link next to the video after watching the it.

I’ve used videos to promote many products with great success, you can also create videos about any topic and generate enough traffic to a website to either increase your blog readership or make a profit.

You’d be surprised at what people like to watch, because even really strange videos that you would not spare a minute for have many views and do remember that not only is this traffic source free it is also a one time set up project that will continue to work for as long as YouTube exists or until you remove the video.

Since Microsoft Movie Maker is free to use and also easy to use, you can create many videos to suit your targeted audience. Give it a try and you’ll be very pleased with the results.

I just logged in to my business email and found an interesting email from the guy who sent me 3 pounds twice. Here is what it said;

“I’m betting that having select and although I have not yet committed to working with you I am amazed at the results I like mucho.queria hecerte two questions: how long you’ve been with the selections of the horses? how long you have to continue with this project? can subscribe in the future? consegido how many points you since you started? greetings”

I’ve decided to concentrate on marketing my existing products this month as I currently have quite a few products and if I channel all my efforts towards promoting them I could see some significant sales growth.

What I am going to do this time is a little different from anything that I have done so far. I’ve always believed that there should be no ‘free ride’ hence I have never given away a free product that I’ve created.

However, I’ve seen how well these ‘free’ products work virally and how they bring in much welcomed sales even though the product was not sold for cash initially.

To do this I will create a short product to detail how to make 3-5% profit from horse racing everyday. Let’s name is Profiting From Favourites.   Favourites here refers to the favourite horse for the benefit of those who have never seen a horse race.

When making this product, I’ll include links to my various other products and services, I will likely give away free trials to my membership sites and a discount for other products.

Then I’ll create a video that will tell people about this great free system download and send them to the website where they can collect this free download.

At the website, I’ll promote my new Private Betting Account Management service.

While I don’t expect to make a great deal of money from this marketing effort in the near term, I can see it bringing in some sales. The numbers will just work it’s magic as it always has. For every 100 downloads I am bound to make 1 sale. Considering the fact that this is totally free for me to set up, that 1 sales per hundred downloads is like free money!

Also remember that once this is set up it is all fully automated.

So then, it is back to work for me!!

I’m always shopping around for new ebooks and new ideas to create more income online. While looking for another new income stream, I had an idea of creating what is called a Virtual Real Estate, where you collect ‘rental’ through your google ads. So I created this website/blog about dream interpretation.

I had initially wanted to link the website to 3way links to increase it’s popularity but unfortunately the blog was not accepted as dream interpretation was considered a bit ‘religous’. Even Feng Shui sites are not accepted. So I am left with this cool info packed website sitting around not earming any dough!

As you all know, I ran a Valentine promotion for my subscription website on Feb 14th.

After sorting out my mailing list and writing the promotional email, I sent it out at 9am UK time to about 60 past customers and within 48 hours I had 4 new sign ups. I had targeted to get 5 sign ups but was still pretty happy with 4. The valentine promotion which was supposed to run for 48hours was supposed to be taken down on Feb the 16th…

Since I was soo ‘busy’ with my new found love…er…poker on facebook, I kinda forgot to pull the promo out. So guess what, I had one more signup on the third day. That prompted me to remove the promo after that signup!

So that was the end of valentine promotion which resulted in 5 new signups @ £47 a month. Can you imagine, my mailing list is so tiny, if I had a list with 5,000 people, I would be super rich by now

That proves that the list is money! Mailing lists are like an ATM, at a click of a button you’ll have some cash. The online business model has proven to be the easiest business to start with no experience and even little or no capital.
