Wow! Fourth day already. I must admit I am slacking behind a little. I have not even started to make my webpage yet and I’ve got a product to launch tommorow.

I’ve found that if I give myself datelines to meet, I am a whole lot more productive!

OK, today you’ll need to elaborate on the key point list that you made yesterday. Keep your website simple and pleasing to the eye. Don’t worry too much about the design and layout, you can improve on it later on.

Just keep your sales pitch real and write it in such a way that it clearly states the benefits of purchasing your product. If you read it to yourself and you can’t convince yourself, then you are going to have a problem convincing anyone to part with their money to buy your product.

I’ve kept my sales page pretty much in its original state since I created my first free website. There is no banner and I only added the ebook cover much later on.

Day One -  Let’s Get Started

The first thing that you’ll need to do is to check if the topic that you are going to write about has any search traffic. If there is little or no search traffic, there is almost no way that you are going to sell anything.

Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal 

Once you key in the search term(keywords) that you think people will be looking for (eg. scrapbooking), Google will provide you with a list of suggested keywords that are currently beong searched. You’ll need to have at least ‘low’ volume of searches before you decided that it is a good topic to write about.

Just hover over the results like in the picture above and it will indicate if it is LOW, AVERAGE or HIGH.

We are looking for at least Low. Of course, if you can get ‘average’ that would be ideal.

Now that we have a topic that we are going to write about, you’ll need to have a short layout of your ebook/report. For this example we are going to use an ebook call “How To Potty Train Your Baby in 3 Days”

If I were to write this ebook, I’ll need to create Table Of Contents first. This is sort of like baking a cake. You need a recipe, but here we need a Table Of Contents.

Here is the Table Of Contents for “How To Potty Train Your Baby in 3 Days”;

Introduction

Potty Training ‘Tools’

Potty Training Mindset

Day 1  -  Introduction to Potty and Trial Run plus Rewards!

Day 2 - More Fun With the Potty, plus more Rewards!

Day 3 - Positive Reinforcement, Rewards and Hugs!

Conclusion

Final Thought 

This is just an example of what I would do if I were to write “How To Potty Train Your Baby in 3 Days”.

Once you have your Table Of Contents, then you can now visualise what you need to write about for each step of the way.

For day one you will write the introduction only. Your introduction to the ebook should include your experience with the ’subject/topic’ and what you hope to help the reader achieve from reading your ebook.

The next part of day one is homework. To help you through the writing of the ebook, you’ll now write down the key points for the body of your ebook.

The key points of discussion are the important points that you’ll eleborate upon within each part of the ebook.

In the example above , “How To Potty Train Your Baby in 3 Days”

I would break it down to Day 1 , Day 2 and Day 3.

From there, each Day will have all the important points that I want to touch on and eleborate further when I write the ebook out.

Only do this for the body of the ebook, you don’t need to do it for the conclusion.

Yes it is pretty strange that you get to catch me here on a Saturday but I had an awesome idea and I thought it would be great for me to share it with all of you.

I’ll detail the exact steps that I will be taking to get this product done right up till I market it. Then over the next few weeks and months I’ll track the sales performance for all of you.

Thanks for posting some comments here yesterday. I’d like to post my reply here for all of you to read as it answers the big question many of you have on your minds.

I have already written a post about this called How To Make Money From Your Hobby but used a friends hobby (scrapbooking) as an example. Now I am going to use my friend Karens passion for God and music as an example. The trick to making money online is to think out of the box.

The first thing that you can to is to set up a simple free website to enable the public to buy your music ebook. You’ll need Adobe to convert your book to pdf format but you can also use a free software called pdf995 . You’ll need to watch a few ads after it does the conversion but it free so who’s complaining?

Once that is done you can create a simple free webpage and find a free website to upload it for all to see. The first website that I created was and still is hosted on a free website. It has brought in almost $900 in the last 6 months. I used a free website at Netfirms for my very first website. You’ll need a software called Fillezilla to upload the webpage to your website. There are a few setbacks with using a free website;

• can’t use your own domain name (it needs to be www.XXXXXX.netfirms.com
• storage space is very limited, so if you are thinking of hosting a forum there (forget about it )
• traffic limitation (if you have a spectacular product launch and people flock to your site….er….it will crash cos you aren’t allowed so much bandwith)

But then again…it’s free so who’s complaining?

Now that you have a product and a webpage to sell it, you’ll need to market it. Your create a simple video and upload it to YouTube. Alternatively, you could upload a music video that you have created using the info from your ebook and wait for the mullah to roll in.

So how much money did that whole exercise cost? Absolutely nothing, all free. You just need to invest about 3 days for a complete newbie or just a couple of hours if you’ve done it before!

hhmmnnn…i think i am now going to launch a Newbie On The Web Consultancy Service so that I can charge some fees just kidding! Send me more questions, it is a please to be of service.

Further to the video that will bring in some traffic, you can also create a forum and have your church group and other christians express their views and converse with each other. That would then set the stage for you to introduce your product to an audience that may not currently be aware of your product.

The other out of the box idea that I had was for you to video your weekly mass and upload it to your website so that people can view it. It’s like having mass on the web. You can have an online church and have it function exactly the same way!

A combination of all 3 ideas will have the bucks rolling in.

All that talk about getting you guys started with creating your first website and I have not even shown you how to do it…
