Unfruitful May
Tuesday, May 27th, 2008Wow, it has been a whole 18 days since I wrote my last post! While some of you must be thinking that I’ve just taken a nice long holiday on one of the beautiful islands nearby…er..nope I’ve been around but just been plain lazy!
Nothing ventured this month, so nothing gained either ..lol..
I’ve just been having a roller coaster ride with my managed accounts and trying to sort out some issues for my clients. Running a business from home has its fair share of ups and downs. One month the ideas are popping up while I sleep and the next month zilch..nada..zero.
One month it is smooth sailing the sales are coming in and the next month I wonder who turned the tap off…then I find out that people are STEALING my stuff! Yes, digital theft is nothing new. Some smart asses actually know how to do it and they get all their free stuff by finding your files. Yes, it is about as simple as that. Quite frustrating though for people like me…
So I had to change all my download links to the most unthinkable names…and rename my files to weird sounding files. It helped for a month but I think they are at it again…stealing.
As for the relaunch of the football club, we’ve decided to hold it off till the start of the new season since the current season is ending in June…like in a weeks’ time.
Oh yes, I did do something great for my son this month…I’ve finally added him to the wall. You see we have this wall in the living room of our house and it has all our pictures. Poor Aaron finally made it to the wall at the age of 19 months! He suffers from 2nd child syndrome…lack of attention cos he is number two. No more hoo hah over having a kid when you have 2 (TWO) (ZWEI) (DUA) (YEE) hahahaha .. of them. ….and I used to wonder why they were virtually no pictures of me when I was young..hmmnnn I am the second child. Makes me wonder what happens to families who have 4 or 5 kids.
Ethan is having a 2 week midyear holiday break from school, so I’ve got extra work trying to occupy his young mind. It’s not easy trying to keep a 4 year old entertained but I try…
We are still waiting for our new Indonesian maid who is supposed to arrive in June but they have not even sent her passport over to Malaysia for visa approval. These maid agencies are all very efficient when they want you to hire a maid through them but once the payment has been made they start to slack with their follow up. Just imagine, the sales manager has not even bothered to call me to update me on the progress of the application that has been pending for nearly 2 months now! In the meantime while waiting I’ve decided to ask the current helper to stay on for another month since I am not too keen on spending my days ironing, dusting, cleaning and cooking! I have better things to do like watch Britain’s Got Talent
Oh well, so May has come to almost the end and I’ve done basically nothing!
