Yes, you’ve all figured that I am crazy about David. Well it’s because he is THE most talented undiscovered talent in this years American Idol competition.
Incase you’ve not found out yet, Carly Smith and Michael Johns have previous recording contracts. So I would not consider them ‘undiscovered’ talent. Although I am a big fan of Michael Johns……

Some people live on earnings from their stock market portfolio while others make a killing just by understanding the mechanics behind what drives the forex market in different directions. Whether you like it or not, these are all forms of gambling. At the end of the day the only people who will profit from this (gambling in any form) is the person who has done his or her homework.
Let me delve further into this. Let’s take Amy who has no prior knowledge about “investing” (that’s what they like to call it) in the stock market and compare her to Bob who has been keeping up with the stock trends and has been watching the bottom line profits of a couple of blue chip companies that he has interest in.
Both of them decide to enter the stock market at the same time, after 12 months who do you think came out on top with a profit? Amy would have listened to market rumours and followed the “intelligence” gathered from this so called inside information and went ahead to buy many shares that were rumoured to be going up further! The only problem is when Amy buys a share the next day it would have closed at a lower price. Why? because sound stock market investments are not made by following the crowd but are made by careful long term analysis of the real value of the company and knowing their long term plans plans as well.
Then we have Bob who has been reading the Wall Street Journal and has been quietly analysing the value of certain Blue Chips and even a few start ups. He was been tracking their performance over the last year and has not even made his move yet, he doesn’t own a single share yet. Right around the same time as Amy enters the market Bob moves in too.
A year later Amy is desperately trying to sell her share as they as loosing value as the days go by. Bob’s shares on the other hand have not only gained 10% in value they have also earned him dividends. On top of that Bob made some extra pocket money writing a few covered calls over the last couple of months after attending an Options Seminar.
My question to you my friend is Who Do You Want To Be?

Let’s face it you definately want to be Bob. I can tell you that there is no short cut to wealth. The only way to make continued profits from any form of ‘investment’ is to empower yourself with knowledge. Before you jump into any form of investment do your research/homework, even if it takes you 6 months to gather the data, you’ll be doing yourself a great favour.
Once you find that you are already making a nice profit from it, don’t stop there. You need to continuously keep yourself updated with the lastest trends and techniques.

I am going to keep this short and sweet as I had actually just read the results from MSCBC but won’t comment on the results till I’ve watched the show.
Of the 12 performance there were only 3 that I remember well or to me was worth remembering. Let me talk about each one of them.
Asia’h Epperson sang so well at her audition to get to Hollywood and looked like the best all round performer in the show last night. Her vocals were good and she is also very comfortable on stage and keeps her performance lively. She is definately a force to be reckoned with.
The sole female nurse rocker Amanda Overmyer is sooo original and I’d have to agree with Randy, the jeans are COOL! Although I am not a rock fan myself, Amanda showed that she has real stage presense and had a lot of self confidence. She’ll be around for a while.
Ramiele sang very well yesterday with nice hair and make up but she really needs to do something about the wardrobe. She looked like she was on the way to the local grocery store.
One other person that I think is worth mentioning for the wrong reasons is Carly Smithson, the last contestant to sing last night. Seriously, she has this gothic look (check out Gothic.Net if you have no idea what I mean) that almost makes her look evil. Check out her teeth, the two front teeth are longer than the rest and the fangs er…look like real fangs… but what can you expect she owns a tattoo shop! She reminds me of the wife from Adam’s family!
All the other contestants were not spectacular enough to be remembered, so I won’t bother mentioning them. I am sure these 3 aren’t going home…

I’ve only started watching American Idol since last week when they went to Hollywood so I missed out on some horrifying auditions, I’m sure.
During Hollywood week, Michael Johns really blew me away when he sang Bohemian Rapsody and last night WOW! he was sooo hot too. I think he’ll likely cruise into the finals without a doubt as he has natural talent. Like Simon says “when you’ve got it, you’ve got it”
I’ve just watched the repeat of yesterday’s BOY’s show even though I watched it last night but was able to enjoy it better today as the kids were really all unruly yesterday with my TV blaring away. Both of them were competing to be my idol. In the end mummy sent them away to another room cos mummy couldn’t hear the real BOY’s singin…
Oh the cutie, David Archuleta made my heart melt. He is such a mature performer, when he was singing his song he looked like a seasoned performer. It also helps that he so quite good looking and has charisma although he did seem shy after the song ended. This guy will get to the top 12 for certain.
The Orangey Brownish looking jacket guy…er… Chikezie can sing quite well but seriously he needs to do something about his choice of clothes. YUCKS…
Now for the Elvis impersonator, Danny Noriega who showed that he can really sing in Hollywood. His choice of clothes is a little suspect as well, Elvis sported bell bottoms while Danny wore body clinging pants??
Jason sang pretty well and his performance was a bit refreshing compared to the rest as he had his guitar with him.
Garret Haley needs a hair cut desperately and some make up. He looked like a drug addict trying to perform on stage. I don’t think we’ll be seeing him next week!
What was Luke Menard thinking?? Is he performing on a sidewalk, what’s with the sloppy dressing? For goodness sake this is American Idol, he’ll need to dress like an idol, he looked like a slop last night, he has to be super lucky to make it to the next show.
David Cook and Robert Corrico sang their “rock” songs pretty well . Without a doubt, they’ll be around next week.
Then there were a few that I can’t remember who weren’t spectacular and will be forgotten as Simon would say. They are Colton Berry, David Hernendez & Jason Yeager . I think Jason’s days on the show are numbered after getting distracted halfway through singing his song.
The Boys have set the level quite high, let’s see what the girls will bring to the stage today. More on the girls in another post!
